Katenthele Village was seriously affected by a shortage of water. The village is located outside of Mzuzu to the south of Nkhata-Bay district. The village has a population of about 600 people. Their main source of water has been hand dug shallow wells that are unprotected and located far away from the village. This makes people of the village walk longer distances to fetch the water.
