Chambo Village is located about 40 km North of Mzuzu city. This well will provide water for approximately 4000 people. Their main source of water has been Lukonkhowe river and some unprotected wells. With this the problem of water has been so acute that these wells and river dry up, and the people have less water for home use. In addition to this, women are subjected to walking longer distances to fetch water.
